COO Betsy Soehren-Jones to Lead SBOM Session on Feb. 8

Fortress Information Security (Fortress), the supply chain cyber security leader for critical infrastructure, invites all DISTRIBUTECH International to learn how the Fortress software bill of materials (SBOM) solution can make supply chains more secure and resilient.
All visitors to the Fortress booth (#4111 in Hall C) will have access to new proprietary Fortress research that outlines, highlights, and quantifies the software security challenges the utilities industry faces. In addition, Fortress COO Betsy Soehren Jones will lead an education session -- It's Not What You Find, It's What You Fix: The SBOM Journey – on Feb. 8 at 11:15 am in Room 30B.

Leading Fortress executives will be onsite educating about the need for the underlying software in all products to be hardened and resilient to supply chain cyberattacks. SBOMs have been around for more than a decade but have had limited adoption. SBOMs provide the recipe of proprietary and open-source ingredients in software that runs operational and information technologies.
Regulators, policymakers, and utilities are increasingly focused on SBOMs. A triad of SBOM regulations from The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), The Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and a Presidential Executive Order have created a multitude of deadlines for companies that want to do business with the U.S. Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security and other organizations responsible U.S. critical infrastructure.
