Inc Magazine Puts THE Critical Supply Chain Cybersecurity Company on 2024 Southeast Region’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies List

ORLANDO, FL | March 1, 2024 – Fortress Information Security’s impressive growth over the last two years earned the company a coveted spot on Inc. Magazine’s coveted Inc. 5000 list of the Southeast region’s fastest-growing private companies.

In the two years Inc. studied, Fortress’ revenues grew 77 percent. Fortress is the critical supply chain cybersecurity leader protecting nearly half of America’s power grid and national defense assets for three branches of the U.S. military from cyber threats. Fortress has worked with 45 utilities, 3 regional transmission operators, and 1 independent power producer while building a database of cyber information on more than 50,000 vendors.

Over the past two years, Fortress has anticipated and met the immediate needs of critical industry customers by:

  • Introducing the North American Energy Software Assurance Database (NAESAD) to ensure public and private energy companies can navigate new federal software regulations.
  • Steering energy companies through new hardware guidelines from the North American Energy Reliability Cooperation North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
  • Teaming with the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) to provide a standardized means of evaluating cybersecurity for commercial off-the-shelf drones.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Critical Infrastructure Consortium to address supply chain risk concerns and add value to security and compliance programs.
  • Expanding its work with the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing vulnerability prioritization and orchestration as well as critical insight into weapons systems supply chains to comply with the latest guidance from NIST 800-161.

“We are continuing to experience hyper-growth in 2024 as companies and governments recognize the urgent need to secure supply chains,” said Alex Santos, CEO and co-founder of Fortress. “This growth comes from our determination to keep our partners in the energy industry and other critical infrastructure sectors safe.”

The company’s new brand, “Absolutely Critical,” reflects its commitment to securing the critical supply chain. Santos says this is just the beginning of Fortress’ expansion into other critical infrastructure sectors - gas, oil, water, minerals/mining, and transportation.

“America faces cyber threats from around the globe and our adversaries have put a target on the critical infrastructure sectors,” said Santos. “We are determined to protect the critical industries that ensure our national and economic security.”
