Don Archer

President, Head of Government and Global Enterprises

As President, Head of Government and Global Enterprises at Fortress, Don leads strategic growth initiatives with U.S. federal agencies, defense partners, and global enterprises. He applies his vision and national security experience to advance solutions that safeguard critical infrastructure and strengthen America’s technological edge.

Don brings deep national security expertise shaped by service across the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Senate, and The White House. Most recently, he served on the National Security Council where he advised on U.S. policy in the Middle East, Africa, and emerging technologies. His leadership included coordinating critical military operations, supporting U.S. diplomacy, and driving global investment into the United States.

Prior to his White House role, Don was the National Security Advisor to the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, guiding policy on military, intelligence, foreign affairs, and veteran issues. A Pennsylvania State University graduate, he was commissioned as a Naval Officer and served seven years on active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer before affiliating with the Reserves, where he continues to serve today.
